LSU football coach Les Miles is all smiles today after learning the Tigers won convincingly in a 41-7 blowout Saturday night in Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium.

“My friend sent me a picture of a newspaper this morning that had the headline, ‘Tigers Win Big; Move To #2,’ and I’ll tell you this, I could not be happier for my guys,” Coach Miles said.

“They played their damn tails off last night. And if anyone deserves a number two, it’s this football team.”

In a highly anticipated match-up of two top 15 ranked SEC West teams, the Tigers dominated from start to finish with an incredible blend of offensive firepower and tenacious defense. The game was never in doubt and ultimately elevated the Tigers to #2 in both the AP Top 25 and USA Today polls after a crazy college football weekend where four out of the top six teams lost.

“Sometimes, you just know what you know. And I know that this football team knows they are proud to be Tigers. Last night proved that,” said Miles.
